Carbon fiber sheets are crafted from processed carbon fiber cloth, renowned for exceptional hardness and lightweight properties. These sheets are categorized based on their surface finish: smooth plain, smooth twill, matte plain, matte twill, and UD surface. Additionally, carbon fiber sheets can be painted, allowing for customization in various colors.
High Strength and Stiffness: Carbon fiber sheets have a very high strength-to-weight ratio. While both carbon fiber and steel are very resistant to deformation, steel is five times denser than carbon fiber. Carbon fiber has almost twice the strength-to-weight ratio of steel. Therefore, carbon fiber sheets can withstand greater loads in structural design while also reducing overall weight.
Corrosion Resistance: Carbon fiber sheets exhibit excellent corrosion resistance and withstand chemical erosion effectively. They remain stable even in challenging environments like marine settings and chemical equipment applications.
